About JYSK
JYSK is an international retail chain that sells "everything for the home". JYSK is owned by the family behind the Lars Larsen Group. The founder, Lars Larsen, is known throughout Denmark as the country's leading retailer who always has a "great offer".In 1979 he opened his first store in Denmark in Aarhus, Denmark's second largest city - where it can still be found today - Larsen had big ambitions, even if he didn't realize how fast his company would grow. Larsen opened many more JYSK Sengetøjslager (the original name until 2001) throughout Denmark. In 1984, he opened the first store beyond the country's borders in neighboring Germany.
Today, the JYSK Group consists of over 3.000 stores in the following 51 countries worldwide: Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Finland, Poland, Czech Republic, Hungary, Netherlands, Slovakia, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Iceland, Canada, Greenland, Faroe Islands, Estonia, Latvia, Ukraine, Kosovo, Bulgaria, Kazakhstan, Romania, France, UK, Slovenia, Northern Macedonia, Croatia, Italy, Spain, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Serbia, Armenia, Indonesia, Montenegro, Greece, Albania, Vietnam, Malta, Portugal, Georgia, Belarus, Tajikistan, Moldova, Belgium, Kuwait, United Arab Emirates, Thailand, Ireland, Cyprus and Azerbaijan.
